We are currently hiring:
Heavy Equipment Parts and Inventory Manager

Job Title: Production Administrator & Heavy-Duty Parts Buyer & Manager
Location: Pocatello, Idaho | Type: Full-Time | Experience: 5 Years
The Role in Brief
We are seeking a highly versatile Production Administrator & Heavy-Duty Parts Specialist to take full ownership of our internal supply chain. This is a “Non-Retail” role; you won’t be dealing with the general public. Instead, you will be the backbone of our shop, responsible for identifying, buying, and tracking every nut, bolt, and hydraulic pump required for our manufacturing and repair operations.
The ideal candidate has “graduated” from a high-volume auto or heavy-duty parts store management role and is ready to apply that expertise to a structured production environment. You must be as comfortable building a complex Bill of Materials (BOM) as you are negotiating with vendors or inspecting a hydraulic fitting.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Procurement: Identify and source heavy-duty parts (hydraulics, driveline, chassis) with a focus on quality and lead-time. You know what the mechanics need before they do.
- BOM Management: Build and maintain accurate Bills of Materials for manufacturing projects, ensuring every component is accounted for from inception to completion.
- Production Oversight: Act as the “Paperwork Facilitator.” Track all internal repairs, shipping/receiving documents, and inventory movements with accounting-level precision.
- Inventory Control: Manage stock levels for the shop. Eliminate “dead stock” while ensuring “fast-movers” are always on the shelf to prevent technician downtime.
- Technical Liaison: Interface directly with mechanics to troubleshoot parts identification. You must speak the language of hydraulic systems and heavy machinery.
Candidate Profile & Requirements
| Requirement | Description |
| Experience | 5–10 years in parts management (preferably an Auto/Heavy Duty Parts Store Manager). |
| Technical Savvy | Expert knowledge of heavy-duty components and hydraulic systems. |
| Administrative Skill | Highly organized; capable of managing the “paper trail” (buying logs, shipping manifests, and BOMs). |
| Versatility | A “jack-of-all-trades” who can handle high-level buying and then walk into the warehouse to verify a shipment. |
| Accountability | A background in parts sales/management where you were responsible for P&L, inventory accuracy, and vendor relations. |
