Job Title: General Laborer – Heavy Equipment Shop & Production

Job Summary
We are looking for hardworking, reliable General Laborers to join our production and repair team. This is a physically demanding role that provides vital support to our mechanics, welders, and parts department. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized shop, assisting with heavy-duty equipment assembly, and handling the physical movement of large-scale parts and materials.
If you are a “hands-on” person who wants to learn the heavy equipment industry from the ground up, this is the place to start.
Key Responsibilities
- Shop Support: Assist mechanics and technicians with the assembly and disassembly of heavy machinery. Hold, lift, and position parts for installation.
- Parts & Material Handling: Assist the Parts Manager with unloading freight, unboxing heavy-duty components, and organizing the warehouse/yard.
- Facility Maintenance: Keep the shop floor, wash bay, and outdoor yard clean and free of hazards. Manage oil/fluid disposal and scrap metal organization.
- Tool & Equipment Care: Ensure all shop tools are cleaned, maintained, and returned to their proper locations. Operate pressure washers and basic hand/power tools.
- Basic Production: Perform simple mechanical tasks such as grinding, sanding, painting, or prepping metal surfaces for the fabrication team.
Qualifications & Physical Requirements

| Physical Stamina | Must be able to lift 75+ lbs and stand/walk for 8–10 hours a day. |
| Mechanical Aptitude | Comfort using power tools (impacts, grinders, drills) and basic hand tools. |
| Safety Mindset | Strict adherence to PPE (Steel toes, eye pro) and shop safety protocols. |
| Work Ethic | Punctual and reliable; willing to work in various weather conditions (heat/cold/rain). |
| Desired Skills | Experience operating a forklift or moving heavy trailers is a major plus. |
