Job Title: Heavy Equipment Mechanic – Chip Spreader Rebuild Specialist
Location: Pocatello, Idaho | Pay: Up to $50/hour (DOE) | Ownership: Local / Independent
The Opportunity

We are a successful, growing business in Pocatello, Idaho, looking for talented Heavy Duty Mechanics to join our premier Used Chip Spreader Rebuild Program. Unlike typical field service roles, this position offers a focused construction equipment rebuild environment where you have the tools, the space, and the support to do elite-level work. We are poised for significant growth, and we are looking for mechanics who want to grow their careers along with us.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete Equipment Rebuilds: Perform end-to-end teardowns and reconstructions of chip spreaders and related heavy equipment.
- Hydraulic System Mastery: Diagnose, repair, and optimize complex hydraulic systems, including pumps, motors, and valve banks.
- Powertrain & Engine Work: Overhaul engines, transmissions, and final drives to “like-new” specifications.
- Electrical Troubleshooting: Read and interpret schematics to repair or replace wiring harnesses, controllers, and sensors.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure every machine leaving the rebuild program meets strict safety and performance standards.
Qualifications & Requirements

| Experience | 5+ years of professional experience with heavy-duty construction or ag equipment. |
| Specialized Knowledge | Expert-level understanding of hydraulic systems and diesel engine diagnostics. |
| Ownership | Specialized shop tools and heavy lifting equipment provided. |

| Location | Must be based in or willing to relocate to the Pocatello, ID area. |
